What can I say about this little gem? It was excellent in every way. If you prefer smaller, more personal venues for your music performances, check them out. Part of this home was converted into a performance theater. The acoustics FLY OUT OF THE BALLPARK and the music is so clear and crisp. I was genuinely impressed by the sound quality. I am in my 40s, but I am still a student lol. Chris was so helpful and friendly, helping me secure student tickets online. Their events are usually BYOB, which is nice if you have a particular favorite. They provide tumblers. There is bench-style floor seating as well as a 2nd and 3rd floor, provided by a quaint circular staircase. Limited bathrooms only on 1st floor. Wheelchair friendly. There is plenty of street parking, and there is overflow available in the park near the house. I also liked that there was a kinda "no stress" dress code, some guests were in formal attire, and my sister and I were casual in jeans. It only took one visit for this to become one of my new favorite music venues for a fun night out or even a date night. Can't wait to come again!
Amazing atmosphere and a beautiful go to if your knew to expressing your artistic craft. Authentic selves open mic night is absolutely heart warming,welcoming and beautiful to share.
A unique hidden gem, living-room concert hall with three stories and two balconies. When you step through the red curtains, you'll experience a wow moment. The acoustic sound system is the most technologically advanced in the state at the time of writing this review and certainly is a treat to your ears. Grammy-winning artists enjoy playing there as much as the audience enjoys the show. Jazz, Classical, Underground, Americana, DIY, Spoken Word & Open Mic, Theater, and more. A hundred shows a year are open to the public and are free to fairly priced. Shows run from 7:30 to 9pm, so you're not in for a five hour commitment like the big venues. Free wine, bring a bottle to share if you like. Easy to park, and entry.
This is a nice, intimate place to see live performances. I will definitely return.
For the last three years I wanted to attend a Timacua event and tonight my dream came true. The third Sunday night for spoken word open mic was nothing short of amazing. From the organizer of the event, Lauren White to the staff was superb. The essence and atmosphere was electic and soulful. Warm and inviting. I will be back.
Two events here, completely different gatherings. Both equally engaging and unique. Great venue and good bookings. Intimate fare, with excellent acoustics and in home vibezz. The artist are so close you are practically on stage with them!
Timucua Arts Foundation is the Best place in Central Florida to Enjoy High quality music and Fine Art performance simultaneously. It is a familiar environment. Enjoyable and memorable. It is also a great opportunity to meet and interact with the Artists.
